Facebook ads are created through Ads Manager. Here, the first thing that you will notice is that you have 13 Campaign Objectives from which to choose when creating a Facebook ad for your business. The only setback is that you can only have one Campaign Objective for each Facebook ad that you create. Available Ad Objectives are;

Directing traffic to a landing page with your listings
For real estate companies, it is probably best to have people directed to a landing page on which your properties are listed. In that case, you may want to go with “Traffic,” as your Facebook ad campaign objective.
Most real estate brokers have listings on Zillow, Trulia or Redfin. The Traffic campaign objective allows you get people who click on your Facebook ads taken to your listings page on any of these platforms.
People can then check out your properties. If they are interested, they can leave their names, phone numbers and email adresses. You can then get in touch with them to turn this interest into a conversion.
Once you have your campaign objective defined, the next thing that you need to do is create an Ad Set. It’s here that you begin the process of defining your target audience. This is absolutely important, because Facebook is vast. You absolutely do not want to have your ads lost in this vastness.
Defining the target audience for your Facebook Ads
The thing to remember is that you don’t want to simply advertise to everybody on Facebook. What you need to do is reach out to people who are going to be interested in what you have on offer. So, how do you define these people? And who are the people that you, as a real estate broker, should be targeting?

Facebook gives you the following targeting parameters for use when defining your target audience;
When creating Facebook Ads, the location setting is where you begin the process of zooming in on your target audience. Real Estate Brokers have a wider reach when compared to other businesses, such as restaurants and cafes.
For this example, we are going to assume that our Real Estate brokerage is located in Chula Vista, California and this is the area to which we are going to have the ads that we are creating for Facebook delivered. Note that we have chosen to have our ads deliver only to people who live in the target location. This way, our ads wont be shown to people who are just passing through.
Which age groups do you normally target with your marketing materials? Obviously, 18 years olds are not going to be able to afford to buy a house.
The age setting allows you to have your ads delivered to people who fall within a particular age range.
For this example, we are going to set the age range for the delivery of our Facebook ads at between 65 and 65+.
Let’s assume that your company manufactures gender specific products. This would be the setting that you use to limit delivery of your ads to either men or women. For our example, however, we are going to have our ads delivered to both men and women.
This is another useful targeting parameter, and would come into play if you wish to have your ads delivered only to people who speak a particular language.
In your Ad Set, the detailed targeting section is really where you zero in on the people to whom you wish to have the Facebook ads that you are creating delivered. This section uses the following targeting parameters
This information is collected by Facebook from its users on a daily basis, allowing businesses to create ads whose targeting is highly accurate.
As you can see in the above, Facebook allows you to really zoom in on your target audience. In the above audience, we have chosen to have our ads delivered to newlyweds who have children who are below the ages of 8.
These are people who are likely to be looking for a home for their children and they may be interested in what you have on offer.
