Looking to generate leads for your real estate business using Facebook ads? The good news, if that is the case, is that you are not alone. This also tends to be the bad news; real estate businesses are some of the most active businesses as far as advertising on the world’s biggest social media platform is concerned. What this means is that your competitors have probably already also joined the bandwagon. Yet, there is still space for you to use Facebook advertising to grow your business. So, how do you go about creating Facebook Ads for Real Estate Brokers and what are some of the things that you need to take into consideration when doing so?
Facebook ads are created through Ads Manager. Here, the first thing that you will notice is that you have more than ten Objectives from which you can choose when creating a Facebook ad for your business. The only setback is that you can only have one Objective for each Facebook ad that you create for you real estate business. Available Ad Objectives are;
We are not going to, in this article, prescribe one objective over the others for the ad that you are creating for your real estate business. The thing to know is that many of the above mentioned objectives could actually work, depending on what it is exactly that you wish to achieve.
If you would like to have people directed to your landing page, then you can use “Traffic,” as your objective. If, on the other hand, you are looking to generate leads, then “Lead Generation,” should be the Objective that you go with. You can also choose Catalog sales as your objective, in which case you would need to create a Catalog for your products that will be shown to your prospects.
For this example, we are going to go with Traffic as our Objective because we want to have people who view our ads taken to our website, where we have listings of all the properties that are on sale.
The next step is really the most important when it comes to creating Facebook Ads for Real Estate Brokers. Once you have your Objective defined, the next section on the way to creating Facebook ads is the Ad Set section.
It’s here that you begin the process of narrowing down on your target audience. That is absolutely important, because Facebook is vast. You don’t want to have the ads that you are creating lost in this vastness. So, how do you narrow down on your target audience when creating Facebook ads for your business?
When creating Facebook Ads, the Location setting is where you begin the process of zooming in on your target audience. Real Estate Brokers have a wider reach in this regard, when compared to, as an example, restaurants and cafes. For this example, we are going to assume that our Real Estate brokerage is located in Los Angeles, and this is the area to which we are going to have the ads that we are creating for Facebook delivered.
This setting allows you to have your ads delivered to people who fall within a particular age range. For Real estate brokers, there may really be no need to have your ads delivered to anyone who is below the age of 25.
Let’s assume that your company manufactures gender specific products. This would be the setting that you use to limit delivery of your ads to either men or women. For our example, however, we are going to have our ads delivered to both men and women.
This is another useful targeting parameter, and would come into play if you would like to have your ads delivered only to people who speak a particular language.
In Ad Set, the detailed targeting section is really where you zero in on the people to whom you wish to have the Facebook ads that you are creating for your business delivered. This section uses demographics, interests and behaviors as targeting parameters.
This information is collected by Facebook from its users on a daily basis, allowing businesses to create ads that whose targeting is highly accurate.
For this example, we are going to have the Facebook Ads that we are creating for our Real Estate Broker delivered to people who fall within the following parameters;
Having a Clear Conversion Funnel
It’s important, when creating Facebook Ads for your business, to have a clearly outlined conversion funnel. What this means, in reality is that you need to make sure that you are geared to convert the leads that you generate through your Facebook ads into conversions.
If you have set it up so that people can get in touch with you, make sure that you stand ready to respond because time matters when it comes to making investments.
Facebook Pixel and Remarketing
For Real Estate brokers, it may actually be useful to choose an Objective that allows you to carry out remarketing. An Objective such as Conversions allows you to install Facebook Pixel on the pages on your website.
This allows you to follow people who have visited your website onto Social Media, where you can try to convince them to make purchases using relevant ads.
