  • Setting up an Ad Account
  • Defining the target audience by setting up an Ad Set
  • Creating the Ad itself

Choose a Campaign Objective

Once you have signed into Ads Manager, the first thing that you will need to do when creating Facebook Ads for your business is choose a campaign objective. This step is pretty straightforward and forms the basis of your entire Facebook Advertising campaign. The question that you need to ask yourself in the first instance is; what is it that I hope to achieve by advertising on Facebook.

So, which campaign objectives work best for medical billing companies? This is a question that I am asked often when interacting with my clients. Frankly, the answer is; it all depends on the particular ad that you are running. Age, Gender, Language

The average doctor can expect to, if they choose to go down this path, start their own medical practice around the age of 35. We are, therefore, going to choose this as our starting point when using age as a targeting parameter for our example.

You can also further narrow down on your target audience using the Gender setting. This can be useful if you wish to promote a gender specific product or service. For this article, we are going to be targeting both men and women.

The language setting gives you the ability to restrict the number of people who see your Facebook Ads based on the language that they speak. Most of the time, you are probably just going to leave the settings blank.

This section allows you to really narrow the focus on your target audience. This is done using demographics, interests and behaviors.
