Online Reviews and why they are important
That online reviews are important can never been in doubt! If you haven’t already been harnessing their power for your business, then you have definitely been missing out! Before comparing Trustpilot and Feefo, let me give you a few reasons why online reviews are important;
A bit about Star Rating Extensions
Star Ratings have already been mentioned on this blog several times. You can refer to this article if you are interested in finding out more. The thing to remember, however, is that though anyone can get you Star Ratings in organic traffic, not everyone is going to be able to do the same when it comes to Product Listing Ads (Google Shopping,) and Google Ads.
How to get Star Ratings
Google has two lists as far as Star Rating Extensions are concerned. The first is for those companies that are licensed to push Seller Ratings. The second is for companies that are licensed for Product Ratings.
Seller Ratings are for a seller or a business as a whole. They help reflect the overall experience that people have had with a particular company or seller.
Product Ratings, on the other hand, are for a particular product. Lets assume that you sell cameras. A product rating may be for one of these cameras that are in your catalogue
Trustpilot vs Feefo
So, what are the similarities and differences between Trustpilot and Feefo and which of the two companies is best for your business?
The first thing that we need to note, and this is where Trustpilot and Feefo are similar, is that both companies are certified by Google to aggregate both product and seller ratings.
You will find that there are a few companies, including, as already mentioned, Feefo and Trustpilot, that appear on both Google lists. Other companies that appear on both lists are Reviews.io and Shopper Approved.
One of the annoying things about Feefo is that the company does not provide it’s pricing on its website. To get these, you actually need to get in touch with the guys at Feefo.
This, strikes us a being a bit unfair, though the same scenario can be found in other review syndication companies, including Yotpo. One gets the feeling that what you are going to pay is going to be entirely dependent on how big your company is and how much the people at Feefo believe they can safely squeeze out of you!
Trustpilot is clearer on pricing, though its Enterprise plan does also require that you get in touch to get further information. The entry level, lite plan from Trustpilot will set you back $299 per month, which is payable annually. For that you get a number of useful features, including Google Seller Ratings.
Best alternative to Trustpilot and Feefo
One of the things that you will notice is that Trustpilot and Feefo are not really that friendly, as far as pricing is concerned. That is why we are always looking for alternatives for our readers. As mentioned, there are 32 licensed companies for Seller Ratings, and 23 for product ratings, and we have checked quite a few of them.
Based on our experience, we can safely say that Shopper Approved is one of the best Shopper Approved alternatives that you will be able to find anywhere out there. If you are looking for a company that delivers on Product and Seller ratings at an affordable price, then Shopper Approved is what you should opt for.
Shopper Approved Pricing
One of the things that you will notice is that Shopper Approved is better placed, as far as pricing is concerned, than both Trustpilot and Feefo. The least priced plan at Shopper Approved begins and $99; the only setback being that you actually need to pay the full amount for the whole year.
Why almost all review companies have taken this approach is beyond us; save for the fact that they are probably looking to have you tied down to a contract for the whole year. Oh well!

Reviews.io is another great alternative to Feefo and Trustpilot. The really great thing about Reviews is that not only has it been approved for both Seller and Product Ratings, but it is also one of the most affordable companies of its kind that you will be able to find out there.
Reviews.io mostly hides its pricing, though it has a plan for early stage startups for $45/m. If you want to learn more about all the other plans, you will have to get in touch with the company.
