Bidsketch Review

Bidsketch is an online-based proposal software which saves valuable time for companies that want to create custom proposal and estimates efficiently.

Here at Planet Marketing, we have been using Bidsketch for more than a year and have nothing but good things to say about it. We have no problem recommending it since we use it ourselves and have had positive results. Perhaps the best thing about it is that it saves us a lot of time and allows us to create professional-looking proposals to close deals more efficiently. Before Bidsketch we used MS Word and spent too much time writing proposals.

The learning curve took a few hours, but once we got the hang of it, we saved about three hours per proposal. The best thing to do before you start a real proposal is to make two to three fake proposals so you don’t mess up a real one.

Take a look at the above image. I can see that Pro Movers didn’t even bother opening the proposal I sent. When someone clicks on your link to view your proposal, you will be notified. If they accept, it’ll turn green. You can also manually accept the proposal for the client.

The proposal is a very important document. If you have an ugly proposal like we used to in MS Word, you can miss deals. This is where Bidsketch comes in handy. For instance, with a customizable template, you can save time by simply filling out the main content, while all other essential elements are saved within the template. It only takes a few clicks to include or exclude items you have saved previously. The image below show two different options for what we charge when it comes to Adwords.

And here’s the actual Bidsketch template we use for Adwords. We load the Adwords template and then make changes to it so it sounds more personalized.

The Bidsketch email notification is a key component of the sales process. Once a prospect opens your proposal, you can reach out to them and ask if they have any questions. You’ll quickly find out if they are a serious prospect or not.

Bidsketch also comes with electronic signatures in the proposal so clients can view, approve and send your contract right away, virtually eliminating the need for printing, scanning or faxing. The process for approval and signing is so much quicker with Bidsketch, with no unnecessary wait times.

Bidsketch can provide you with helpful data that gives you insight into the intentions of the recipient. For example, you can find out how much time the recipient spent viewing your proposal in order to know how to move forward. You probably don’t want to waste your time with a follow-up if the prospect only scanned your proposal for 30 seconds. Even when the prospect downloads the PDF, you see the total time they spent viewing the proposal before they hit “download.”

Overall, we love Bidsketch for the time savings alone. Thanks to a fast turnaround with the e-signatures, custom client landing pages and templates, and the ability to mix and match content, you can close deals faster and get down to your core business. It also takes a lot of guesswork out of the proposal process. Because you’re hand-held through the process from start to finish, you don’t end up forgetting certain details or spell the client’s name wrong. Best part is, you don’t have to worry about reformatting, copying, pasting, and renaming.

Bottom line: save yourself time and hassle by using Bidsketch software for your proposals. We use it here at Planet Marketing and it’s become one of our most important software programs.
